Kelsey Groenendijk - Vice President
Just kicking your legs back, while the president does all the work? I don’t think so! Being the Vice President is so much more…
My year
"For me, a board year at Turing has taught me important skills in leadership, creativity and professionalism. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get practical experience before finishing their degree."
The Role
As the Vice President you will have a whole variety of tasks and responsibilities. This includes communication with members, working closely together with the President to track progress of the long-term goals and helping out wherever you can. Supporting your fellow board members and enabling them to fulfill their tasks is what will keep you busy most of the time. You will be working closely together with every other member of the board as you have to evaluate their performance and make sure the internal communication within the board and the entire association is running smoothly. Therefore, it is very important to stay up to date with everything that is going on within the association and the board itself. Additionally, you will be in charge of the Active Member Committee. This includes leading the committee meetings and organizing fun events for the active members.
